Current Research

I am interested in understanding the temporal relation among neurons across time at the Redwood Center. My work would involve proposing novel methodologies and theories in statistics and machine learning for temporal data modeling and developing interpretable methodologies for neuroscience.

Background

I received my bachelor’s degree from mathematics department, Jilin University, China in 2014 and my master’s degree from statistics program, King Abdullah University Science and Technology, Sandi Arabia in 2016. Then I completed my Ph.D. study in statistics department, University of California Santa Cruz, US in 2020. My prior works include Bayesian modeling, multi-state process, variational inference, non-stationary multivariate process.

Apart from work, I like hiking, swimming and scuba diving in my spare time.
