Current Research

I investigate how distributed motor cortex organizes and coordinates neural activity during the planning and execution of skilled forelimb movements such as reaching using high-resolution behavioral modeling and freely-behaving in-vivo electrophysiology.

Background

After finishing my undergraduate studies at UCSC, where I majored in Astrophysics, I decided to pursue a career researching neuroscience at UC Berkeley. With luck my quantitative background, combined with novel electrophysiology methods, will let me pursue my research career further. Until then, I’m content being a father, husband and avid weight-lifter who may or may not bring his camera everywhere.
