In this talk I will discuss the current data bottlenecks of NLP research and why a general intelligence will emerge out of the co-evolution of humans and software. I will present the results and open challenges of our team’s approach to conversational intelligence used in production. If you are a US consumer you have likely already interacted with a representative aided by a Cresta system. Subject to interest, I will also discuss the move from academia to startups.

Zayd Enam is the CEO and Co-founder of Cresta, an Andreessen Horowitz backed startup spun out of the AI Lab at Stanford. Cresta’s clients include the largest telecommunications, software and retail companies in the United States. Zayd was a Haas Scholar at the Redwood Center for Theoretical Neuroscience, UC Berkeley, and a Forbes 30 under 30.
