I am a member of the Redwood Center for Theoretical Neuroscience, at University of California, Berkeley. I am a physics graduate student in Mike DeWeese's group. I graduated from Northwestern University with a B.A. in Integrated Science, Physics, and Math. < n-carlson at berkeley.edu>
Current Projects
My current research focuses on the statistics of natural sounds and what those statistics imply about the structure of neural responses in the auditory cortex.
